DogAid Australia was established in Victoria in March 2001. Over the last 6 years our primary aim has been to contribute to the total and complete ban of the use of torture of companion animals for slaughter and contribute to bringing about an end to the consideration of dogs and cats as livestock for human consumption. During these years DogAid has gained much support from the Australian public, sponsors including Natures Gift Pet Food, KATZ Pet Food, Supercoat and celebrities like Marty Fields who helped out tremendously.
Working closely with KAPS (Korean Animal Protection Society) in South Korea and IAKA (International Aid for Korean Animals) finally there has been some positive steps to improving animal welfare laws by the Korean Government. Please read more on Korean Dogs Page. DogAid is representative for KAPS in Australia and will continue to support KAPS in their campaign for "Prohibition of Dogmeat". The money goes towards medication, rescue services, finding good homes for shelter dogs and cats, education programs and many other areas of need.
DogAid Australia will also be focussing on campaigns to help Dogs in Australia.
